American Idol Instrument playing?!
Question: American Idol Instrument playing!?
ok, i just want some people's opinions on this!. Is it really a level playing field now that they let people play instruments on american idol!? I haven't really been watching this season because I am over seas, but it just seems to me that American Idol is supposed to be a SINGING competition!. By allowing people to play instruments, it draws attention away from their vocal talents and allows mediocre singers to advance simply because people are blinded by their instrument playing to notice!. Just because somebody can play the guitar doesn't mean they are worthy of winning the contest!. It really bugs me when you hear one person singing and you think their voice is terrible but the moment they pick up a guitar suddenly you praise them as being amazing!. Is America really that stupid!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

I know what you mean!. American Idol use to be all about vocals!. Now that they can use instruments it is a little unfair for the people that dont use instruments, but I know David Archuleta will win it all, and he has the best vocals!. So it all works out in the end!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Actually, I play the guitar!. I also sing!. I like singing some songs when I play the guitar because my emotions and identiy showes in my song!. It is really part of a whole type of package!. I like to sing without playing also!. Just depends on the song!. I liked seeing the instruments!. It really showed the soul of the musician!. Yes, it is a vocal competition, but getting into your element is important!. If you cannot play and sing together, then don't play - just sing!. If you can do both - go for it!. I think this American Idol season's talent is the best yet!Www@Enter-QA@Com

But if people voted purely based on who has the best voice, it wouldn't be a fair decision!. Winning American Idol means you must be well-rounded musically!. Not being able to play an instrument shouldn't put you in a disadvantage, but being able to play & still have amazing vocals does make you stand out more!. I think America is just becoming more picky when it comes to choosing the winner!.
I think David Cook has everything it takes to be the next Idol!. There's no doubt in my mind that he would do the best out of all the remaining contestants in his career!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

i don't remember anyone playing guitar in a performance besides jason castro!. so listen buddy, if you are trying to give yourself an edge over "certain people", this is a stupid way of doing it; there are plenty other, better ways to pick on them!.
playing instruments is not "against the rules"! it's just a way of expressing your personal style or genre! if you are trying to slam jason castro, you have a bad reason!. he is very talented as he has proved over and over that he can sing without the guitar but he also happens to sound good with the guitar!. so if you dont mind, please lay off my boy!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Not really!.!.!.!. Meaning that most of them perform well singing when they play!.!. It is very impressive to see a few of them playing multi-instruments and doing it so well!. Hey, if they mess up singing while playing then oh well!.!.!. gives the underdog should there be one, a much better chance to win!.
We only praise them who play guitar when it is done so amazing like when Jason (dreadlocks) played and sang " Haleiluja" and that was one of the most beautiful songs played to date!.!.!. also when David A!. plays piano and sings it comes so naturally and the talent is at its best!.!. This is a competition to see who really has what it takes and the ones who do play instruments seen to be the ones at the top and most likely the ones to win!.!.!. MY guess goes like this!.
next week Brook goes or Syesha, then Jason, then Little David A, and the winner will be David Cook!.!.!.!. he is the one to beat!.!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
