OK, so MAYBE I am getting old, but I just don't get how America is voting this season!. I will concede that music is a personal preference, and that one person's superstar is another person's annoyance!.!.!.!. but really!? I am so disappointed in who the voters find "Idol-worthy!." I mean, come on people, how could you in good conscience vote for Jason or Brooke last night!?!? We're half of you really high in yourv dorm room and the other half hanging out with your chirch group!? Because I really don't get how either of those two were not in the bottom this week, or why they are even still there at all!. Its been week after week of lackluster performances!. I'm not a big fan of Syesha, but she was a smoking hot firecracker last night!. Carly has had a few toguh weeks, but she brought it back with a vengeance last night!. Neither one of those girls belonged in the bottom!. What a crock! At least I got to see both of those great performances repeated tonight!. (out of space, continued below!.!.!.)Www@Enter-QA@Com

Too old!? I am 59 years old and have watched and voted for all of the 7 seasons!. America didn't get it right!. Carly Smithson should have never been voted out!.!.!.!.yet!. She has been the strongest female singer this year!. David Archuleta needs to come back when he's older!. He doesn't have stage presence and isn't mature enough to answer interviews!. He sings well but has no stage presence and isn't ready to be the American Idol!. The people who voted of Michael Johns that soon, shame on you!. Brooke White should have gone!. She messed up the last 3 weeks!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.twice forgetting her words and last week!.!.!.!.!.!.!.totally off key and no in sync with her piano playing!. Jason Castro needs to go but tweeners and young teens are keeping him in!. This isn't a popularity contest nor is it a fashion show or how cute you are people!. It's talent that is singing great and improving each week !. It is also stage presence, confidence and reaching out to America and the audience!. This is how I have always voted based on that !. I have chosen the American Idols or the runner up for each season!. I cringed last year when Sanjaya kept staying in when he was the worst singer of the whole group!. These things tell me that it's becoming a popularity show especailly for the young tweeners and teens!. Vote !.!.vote !.!.!.vote!. If you don't, and your favorite goes, then you partially blame yourself!. Let's get this right people and my vote is for David Cook!

I played the violin and organ for many years and sang in choirs, so I have an ear for any bad notes!. They all have some, but some more than others!. Sometimes I don't know what the rest of America is listening to!.!.!.!.but I am listening to the contestants!.
I have my own mind too and am NOT swayed by the judges at all!. Why do so many give Simon so much respect when he is obnoxious and rude!? He's the one many listen to and there is a big difference between constructive criticism and downright meanness!. Paula is wishy-washy and doesn't want to hurt anyones feelings and Randy is usually (but not always) the only sane judge there!.

Here is how it works, and how it always works whether it's dancing with the stars, american idol, or any other reality show where you can vote and judges also have input:
If the judge gives your person praise, you feel like they are safe, and don't vote as much!. If your person does poorly and you feel they might be in jeopardy you vote like crazy!.
I did not vote for any idols this week, but if I were a fan of Brooke or Jason, and they did poorly on Tuesday, I would have been voting for them twice as much as usual!. Not because they did well, but because I believe they could do better if they had another week!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I'm not voting so far this year,but I watch it every week and will probably vote later on!.However,I am glad that Carly got voted off!.I really didn't want an Irish singer that has already had her chance at stardom and blown it to win American Idol!.But don't worry,I'm sure she will get yet another deal to make music again now!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I really thought maybe Jason would go home tonite, and was rather surprised he didn't, but I'm betting he's really popular with teenage girls, ( he does have gorgeous blue eyes) I haven't been a big fan of Syesha, but last nite, i have to admit, she was HOT and that was probably her best performance to date!. Brooke reminds me of Carly Simon, especially when shes playing the piano!. At this point, I think they all have they're own talents to bring to the table, so I expect it's only gonna get harder every week from here on in!~Www@Enter-QA@Com

I totally agree with everything you wrote!. I don't get the David Archuleta phenomenon, either!. His performances always seem so bland to me!. Maybe we're both out of touch with the pre-teen girls who love him so much (I'm 31)!. Then again, my sister is 40, and she loves him, too!. I just don't plain get it!.

David Archuleta is really talented and seems like a generally good person!. That is the 'archuleta sensation' ur reffering to!. People need to get over it and accept that hes not going anywhere!. Brooke should have gone home, she's been going down hillf for the past few weeks, and last night was the second time in this competition that she has started a song and then stopped and started over again!.!.!.so unprofessional!. I love Jason, and he has real talent, yes he had a bad night, but one bad night isn't enough to send a person with genuine talent home, Brooke has talent too, but she's had too many bad nights over the past few weeks!. Carly did good last night and she's a great singer but she has had a habit of not picking the right songs for her, and she wouldn't have picked the right song last night if had not been for Andrew Lloyd Webber advising her to do so!. Anyway, it doesn't really matter, because she wasn't going to win, everyone knows that it's going to come down to the two davids at the finale!. My guess, next week either Brooke or Syesha will go, the next week Brooke or Syesha depending on which one makes it next week!. then top three will probably be the two davids and Jason, and then Jason will go making the two davids the top two!.!.!.hopefully David Cook will win the whole thing, but it is a popularity contest and David Archuleta has every teen girl in america swooning after him!. He's got talent but I couldn't really see myself buying his album, where as I could see myself buying one of David Cook's or Jason Castro's!.
