That Island is so weird, it's no telling who or what Jacob is!. Considering that I believe the Island has some type of electromagnetic field around it that causes it to be invisible and also causes the time warps, I believe (and remember, I'm terminally weird myself) that perhaps Jacob is someone who got caught in one of those timewarps!. Being an old Trekkie, I remember an episode of the original where Kirk got caught in the transporter and wound up on another "plane of existence", so maybe that's what happened to Jacob!. Which would explain why Ben can see him, and Locke can hear him, and why the stupid cabin keeps shifting from place to place, like when Hurley found it!. Just my opinion!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Oooh!. I like HipHop's theory--a LOT!. Yep!. I think that theory has a lot of merit!. Considering they are focusing on the time warp thing now, that is most likely how they will explain Jacob's invisibility!. It also makes more sense about how the cabin changes locations!. I'm not sure that Ben sees him anymore than anyone else!. In fact, I'm thinking Ben may actually be holding him captive, so to speak!. He is supposedly in this chair!. Why!? Maybe Ben has him tied to the chair, and maybe that is how Ben gets his guidance from Jacob--not because Jacob trusts only Ben, but because Jacob has no choice but to help Ben!.
