Hey kiddies, thanks for checking in for my breakdown:-)
I was nervous for most of the contestants last night on AI and I had reason to be…I mean, Broadway songs by Andrew Lloyd Webber!? C’mon!. It was a tough night all around!. But this is what seperates the pros from the wannabe's
Let me get to it:
Who did the best!? Carly Smithson!. I really thought she brought the most energy and charisma to the song, I think this will keep her out the bottom 3 as well!.
Who was boring and predicatble!? Do I have to say it!? You already know!. But the kid did well, I must admit!.
Snoozefest performance!? Jason Castro!.zzzzz
The freak-out award goes to Brooke White!. I mean, I really like this girl but she is cracking up in the worst way, she looked like she wanted to run off stage!. She needs to get her sh*t together ASAP!!
David Cook did great, and Syesha did too –I was surprised about her!
Prediction: Jason is going home!.

Anyway, I loved David Cook and even if he is a shy young, kid, David Archuleta, too!. His voice is SO good! Carly did really well, too and I actually liked Syesha but I STILL don't think she is an Idol type!
I felt SO sorry for Brooke!. While she is not my favorite singer, she has that quiet niceness that you can't help but root for!. The sympathy vote may keep her in!.
Jason Castro needs to go!. He about put me to sleep!. I can't believe he would even think of singing that song, one of the most recorded songs in history!. Plus, he looked TICKED when they were raking him over the coals!.
Over all I thought it was quite entertaining (sans Jason)!. I thought Brooke did reasonably well under the circumstances!.
I want Syesha or Jason to go but for some reason I fear for Carly even though I loved it! Krsity Lee was one of the better ones last week and Michael Johns the week before and THEY went home!Www@Enter-QA@Com

Ok, well, I love Andrew Lloyd Webber, so I was really looking forward to last nights show!. I knew the songs would be very hard, but that would separate the best from the rest!. I thought David Cook did the best, followed by Carly, then David A!. then Syesha, then Brooke, then Jason!. I agree!. I think Jason should go home, but it's the popular vote that counts!. :)Www@Enter-QA@Com
My favorite performance of the evening was by Lord Andrew himself, when he said that Brooke had no idea what she was singing about, and when he was talking about how Jason couldn't at all relate to his song!.

I agree with you!.!.!. for the most part!. David Archuleta was pretty predictable, but I thought what he did with "Think of Me" was completely amazing!. He changed it to suit him and he made it a lot more modern!. He's obviously fine this week!.
Carly Smithson was definitely one of the best!. It was so upbeat and happy, she's fine this week too!. I agreed with Simon, though: she needs to quit screaming so much!. A little is ok, but it got a little much near the end!.
Jason Castro was boring! I could barely keep my eyes open!. And who doesn't know that "Memories" is from Cats!? Honestly!.!.!.
Syesha was really good too!. It was nice to see some personality from her!. I think she'll still be in the bottom 3, though!. Carly, Archie, and Cook were still the favourites!.
I was actually surprised by David Cook's performance!. I didn't think it was as great as everyone said it was!. I found it pretty much the same all the way through, it didn't really have the huge climax that he usually likes to throw in at the end, and he just stood there the entire time!. I didn't really see why the judges liked him so much!. He's obviously safe though!. It was a pretty good performance!.
Did anyone notice the weird thing Simon said to Cook at the end, though!? "You did well with the song that was given to you!." Since when do the contestants not pick their songs!? We saw Carly earlier in the evening picking between two songs!. They obviously didn't tell her to sing any one in particular!. Strange!.!.!.

I agree with your summation!. However, it looks like Carly might be the one to go home!. If you check dialidol 20 minutes after voting begins, they have Carly at a definite bottom position!. They've been pretty accurate, although they did have Brooke going home last week with Kristy a close second to bottom so they can be off a bit!.
Personally, I thought Carly was GREAT, a close second to David Cook who always impresses me!. David A!. came in third for me!. I still can't quite wrap my head around his arrangement!. It worked for him, but I'm just not sure I liked it!.

David Cook did so so, the parts that he did sing sounded ok, but he shreded the end of the song!. he sounded flat!.

Overall, it was good, but not great!. My favorite performances were from Syesha and Archie!. Carly was close behind!. And the rest!.!.!.well I didn't like them!. I can't decide who I think is going home!. It's either Jason or Brooke!. Both of them did horribe IMO!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
i liked saiysha's performance!. carley did scream a bit in her song but had a lot of energy!. i might get thumbs down for this but for me boring and predicatable Brook for stopping and starting, jason just bad all together, maybe david a another lovey dovey song but actually did something different with it if u listen to the origional version!. way to go david c for hitting the high notes and being relativly in tune!. looks shouldn't matter its a talent competition not a popularity contest!.

My favorite two are David & David!. I think Jason & Brooke both need to be the next two to leave!. Jason hasnt done one memorable song this season!. All his stuff sounds the same, and I dont even know half the crap he is singing!. Its all very strange coffee shop singer kinda thing, if you get what I mean!. I just don't get him!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I thought the best performances came from David Archuleta (because he gave his song a very "pop" twist), David Cook (because he was very comfortable with the feel of the night!.!.!.) and Syesha Mercado (because she so easily fit the part)!. I can't say I loved Carly's the best because I think the song is boring and not as challenging as the other songs, but she did a really good job with it!. Brooke and Jason were just boring to me last night!.
Webber was kind of weird!. I thought he could have done a better job of hiding his emotions!. He looked mad that he even agreed to let them sing his songs!. Although, I would think that the contestants should have at least tried to figure out the context of their songs before they sang for him!. I actually thought it was really weird for them all to show up and sing to this huge songwriter and not know the story behind their song!.
