I think it's because people have more energy in the weekend to go out and spend time in the park, mall, or some place else!. In weekdays, people come home from work all tired and are more likely to spend the rest of the day watching tv!. It makes sense to air popular shows during the weedays than on weekends!.
also, the weekend is a very short time period compared to the weekdays!. With only saturday and sunday, alot of tv networks would have so much shows to air in such shorter peiod of time!.!.!. maybe that's why they's spread their good shows throughout the weekdays instead!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I know!. Tv is becoming crap already!. i guess its coz of that writers strike thing-it really made all the good shows go bad and made crap shows start (such as Gossip Girl, etc)!.
