Question: Reality show Sob stories!?
How do you feel about sob stories on reality shows!? They introduce themselves, and their reason why they are on the show!. Is nothing but a sob story to get the sympathy vote!. The Phillapino Woman just now on Britains got talent has just proved it!. Yes she was good but she had the sympathy from Amanda Holden by saying "That was for your children wasn't it!?" Who had been left in their home country with their Grandparents, while she was over here to get work!.
If they have a sob story and they use it as an excuse they shouldn't qualify!!! Whether it be singing dancing or whatever reality show it may be!.

I totally agree with you - I was thinking exactly the same thing - probably, at exactly the same time too!!! She probably wouldn't have gotten through on her voice alone which is why she had to blab on about her "story"!.
As for Amanda Holden always bloody crying - well, I wish Simon Cowell would slap her with a kipper!!

it just made me cringe and I thought Amanda Holden was extremely hormonal and embarrassing!. I also think children get through where adults of the same standard wouldn't!. It's the first time I've watched this!. Probably the last time as well!. Couldn't believe how bad it was!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

We all have a sob story, lets face it, we all know someboody that's died or has an illness, but certain people have to milk it, that why i hate it!. I absolutely agree, the sob stories really get to me, if they had talent, they wouldn't need to give us these stories, I was one of the people who wasn't knocked out by the choir boy!.!. I liked the 13 year old comedian, he has talent!.!. and no sob story, he doesn't need one!.!. what a personality!.!.

Just answered two similar questions and I totally agree!. They should come out, introduce themselves, perform, be judged and THEN give us their story!. Let their PERFORMANCE speak!. Think Amanda was a bit OTT!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I totally agree with you that people should be judged on talent and not on the sob stories to get the sympathy vote!. That said I do think the Filipino woman had a great voice but a lot of them who get through on sympathy are cr*p!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
