Question: What are your favorite Food Network shows!? And what shows do you dislike or find mediocre!?
FAVORITES ON THE FOOD NETWORK:
Good Eats with Alton Brown (highly informative, intelligent references, and instructional especially to a food novice like me)
Iron Chef (I like the old Japanese ones better and wish they would bring them back into the late night schedule or at least on the weekends)
Emeril Live ( just a good persona and a good, creative chef)
Gida de Laurentis (she cooks Italian cusine and she's got an awesome body and face and likes to flaunt her goods Yeah, I know, I'm male pig for that but it's true!.)
FOOD NETWORK SHOWS I DISLIKE OR FIND MEDIOCRE:
Just about everything else on the schedule!. Unwrapped with Marc Summers can be informative and interesting at times but is usually too boring at times!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I think my favorite is Good Eats!. I also like Giada (although not for the same reasons as you, lol), Ace of Cakes, the challenges, and sometimes Paula Dean!. I like Rachel Ray's recipes (I own one of her books), but she's kind of annoying on the show!.
I dislike Emeril (I'm not sure what it is, but there's just something about him I don't like), Semi-homemeade with Sandra Lee, Barefoot Contessa!. All the other shows are just okay!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I agree about Good Eats, Iron Chef, and Emeril Live!. They are not only entertaining, but expose me to a lot of different foods and cooking techniques!.
I don't dig Giada de Laurentiis as much, I don't like the way she talks, I always feel like a little kid sitting in a classroom listening to a teacher when I watch her!. I prefer Rachel Ray so much more!.

Oh I disagree all the way around, I don't like the Iron Chef at all!. Emeril Live is really bad because he is so into himself -- wish someone would BAM him!. Gida de Laurentis is a legalized prostitution and shouold Gida job doing something else!. The only ones I agree on are Good Eats and Unwrapped!. I like Paul Dean and also Rachel Ray (but only in small doses for both of them)
When I lived in the US I watched it all the time and made so many of the different recipes that I ended up gaining almost 80 pounds!. I love Food Network! Even now that I live overseas, I go on line to find recipes from Food Network!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I like most of the shows, particularly Iron Chef and good eats, but I dislike Gida de Laurentis for the reasons you like her!. She's pretty - but so what!? I never watch the show all the way through and nothing makes me want to cook any of her recipes!. She's just pretty, not that interesting as a show or a cook!. Emeril can get on my nerves at times, but he makes decent food!. I really don't like that semi-homemade show - everything she makes looks awful, made of prepackaged foods that are bad for you - why bother!?Www@Enter-QA@Com
