What show from the late 80's or early 90's had a girl who talked to her !
Question: When I was little, I remember this show that had this girl who contacted her dad by talking to this giant clam shell that lit up. I was only 4 or 5 at the time, so I don't remember the details. Maybe I have these details wrong. All I know for sure is there was a big clam shell or something. Now, I'm second-guessing myself. Maybe it wasn't a clam shell she talked to? I've always wondered what this show was called. Does anyone know? It was probably on around the late 80's/early 90's.

Could it be "out of this world"? It's about a girl who's father was an alien and she had the power to stop time by putting her fingers together. I barely remember that show, but a clamshell sounds really familiar.
The only show I can think of that had a giant clamshell was in the movie,You Light Up My Life,with Didi Conn.But it was in the late 70's.
