the humor is random doddle and predictable, the jokes are look Lois i just farted and the gas i my nw best friend...a bit like that

My teens watch it, they love it and think its funny.. I have watched it a little bit and find some things funny, but I guess thats cause its so ridiculous thats what makes it funny!

Of course it is funny, but why the hell do you care what your friends think is good or not. Watch it yourself. If you like it, watch it. If you don't like it change the channel. You are not obligated to like the same stuff as everyone else.
It is funny,
theres lots of underlying jokes that you have to have some knowledge to get. but theres also lots of stupid ones for the everyday person

Yes it is, very much so. South Park is too, don't get me wrong, but I think its the mood your in as to which of the two you watch. If you want to see someone make fun of current events or famous people, watch SP. But if you're feeling random, and want to laugh at some stupid things, watch Family Guy. I'm a Catholic and personally, I've never been too offended by anything they've said about Jesus. So it's up to you.
