Why do so many people like jason castro?!
Question: the judges aren't being fair! when david archuleta sang TWO slow songs, they said he was getting gloomy. But Jason has sang ALL slow songs, and they havent said anything! He can't hit big notes like everyone else can, and im just starting to get frusturated!

I love DAVID A! <33333333333 I think that is just because jason is really charismatic. he appears to have personality and is a big hit with the ladies. in this situation, it is more or less a popularity contest in preference to a singing competition. if it was just talent, then David would win no problem! =]

Because David sounds the SAME every week. he sounds like he has all this phlegm in his throat and he cant clear it.
I like Jason because he has soul, His voice is a diffrent kind of smooth and it is the way he makes the delivery of the song, some people can pull off some songs, and others cant. He is Original, (not just because he has dreads) but he kind of reminds me of the purity in Jeff Buckley or Ben Harpers voice.

It's because he is unique. There has never been a voice like his on A.I. it isn't the best but you know when he is singing.

He is just not afraid to be himself...i think that intrigues people...meanwhile David A is a different type of artist, he will be your ***** if he has to and do any song or style you need him to do...but Carly is an independent type artist. Three very different styles
I like Jason Castro. He is talented. He may not hits some of the notes, but he can sing. Plus, he has alot of the young girls and ladies loving him. Even if he does not win Idol, I feel like he will get signed on by someone... Go Aggies.. That is where he was going to school, just in case you did not know.lol

The judges are notoriously unfair and inconsistent but you just notice it more between these two guys because you like Archuleta so much and apparently dislike Castro a great deal. It's not like they're picking on David.
The judges often tell the contestants they want them to figure out who they are as an artist and Castro has. He is a mellow guy. We know this. Archuleta bounces around a lot in the kind of songs he picks and he needs to settle on something and stick with what he's best at. That's all they're saying.

Boy did America get it wrong last night. Jason sucks!! What is wrong with everyone! How the hell could they send Michael Johns home before Jason. Jason and Kristie Lee are not even in the same league with most of them. Kristie Lee also sucks and both of them should have went home a long time ago. This needs to stop being a popularity contest and go back to being a talented, singing contest.

Wow.. David sings ALL slow songs...All he can sing are ballads... the one time he tried to sing something upbeat..he forgot the lyrics and stumbled all over himself.. which.. as usual...the judges thought was adorable and gave him a passing grade. He is soooo boring.. no originality. His stage dad is living his dream thru his son.. and it is very apparent.
I'm so sick of the power Diva last note in every single song. I hope he does win..and become an AI clone.. and gets into a locked contract with them.
I think Jason has the most unique and pure voice I have ever heard on AI. I wait for his performances every week..while the others either put me to sleep..or make me cringe w/ that last screaming note. The only reason I want Jason to stay in the contest..is so that I can experience him for another week. But truthfully.. I hope he is voted out .. just like Daughtry.. and makes a name for himself without having to pay out too much to the AI brass. Jason is the only reason I even watch the show... and I will be first in line to buy his CD when it comes out.. just like I was when Daughtry's did.
Because he has a very pretty voice and he is talented. Just because someone isn't a belter (like Carly and Michael Johns) doesn't make them a bad singer. Not all songs have to be screamed out Whitney/Celine melisma style in order to be pleasant and entertaining. Also, he does not only sing slow songs. I think the only slow song he sang was "hallelujah" which was beautiful. The rest of the songs haven't been necessarily fast but upbeat. But certainly not the slow sappy crap Archuleta has been singing. I get a cavity everytime I hear that kid sing. Geez, tell your dad to beat it and grow a pair.

I don't know why people like him. I think he is the weakest vocally left in the show. I think the last two people kicked off the show are better vocally than he is. It's not always about ability to sing, but instead popularity. After last week's performance someone said to me that Jason reminded them of tiny Tim. I never heard of tiny Tim, but then I looked him up and saw some youtube videos and they were right.
yea I was thinking the same, he sings ok but theres really nothing special about his voice. I do have to say though that I like him much better than kristy and Im still waiting to see when she will be voted off!
