I did and I really wish I could have gave more than I did... So I encourage everyone to give whatever they can! And you don't have to have a credit card... you can send in a check to the address on the americanidol.com website. But I do like your texting Idea Cecila... but the iTunes performances this week that are purchased will go to Idol Gives Back.

I wish that they made it possible to donate via text message! Like, a dollar a text message and you can text up to 5 times or something. Because not everyone has a credit card. I know not everyone has a cell either, but I don't know, just an idea. My mom doesn't have a credit card and I would love to give! I give to any charity I can, and if I could donate by text messaging, just like voting, that would be great!
Doesn't anyone ever get tired of celebrities using the average Joe to make them feel good about themselves by "giving to the needy"? This is a group of people who could single-handedly end hunger and homelessness in America. Yet instead of giving the much needed cash to do that, they "give their name," and the rest of America, who is barely making ends meet in this recession, gives the money. Then they take the credit for making it a success.
