I missed American Idol last night (4/8)...Help?!?!?!

Question: Our cable went out around 7:45 last night and didn't come back on until after I went to bed. Can anyone provide me with a FULL recap of the Idol show last night? I want to know what each contestant sang, your opinion on how they did, and the comments from the judges. Thanks...

It was inspirational song night: Most contestants did well but I am starting to expect more from them. I am not really believing that some of then want to win this competition.

This is not the exact order they sang in...

1. Michael Johns – Dream on by Aerosmith. Good performance, but did not really convince me the he wants to win this. The judges still don’t think it was the right song choice for him.

2. Brooke White – You’ve Got a Friend by Carol King. She sang it well and I think the song suited her. She chose it because it had a personal connection for her. The judges did not totally love it, but they did not hate it either.

3. Carly Smithson – Show Must Go On by Queen. Carly did well; she can really belt out those big vocals however I agree with the judges when they said her performances have been angry lately.

4. Kristy Lee Cook – Anyway by Martina McBride. I am not a Kristy fan but she really did good last night. Good song choice and she sang it well. I think she may actually avoid the bottom 3 on Thursday.

5. David Cook – We Are All Innocent by Our Lady Peace. Good song but I was not really crazy about the performance last night. I was a bit disappointed because I was expecting so much more. The performance just did not mesh well for some reason.

6. Syesha Mercado – I Believe by Fantasia Barrino. I like the song but I feel the performance was lacking in the emotion department. When Fantasia first sang the song you truly believed in her and knew that she meant every word of that song. She also got a bit curt with the judges because they compared her to Fantasia… I think it was a big mistake on her part to choose that song.

7. Jason Castro – Somewhere Over the Rainbow (Israel Kamakawiwo'ole version). Excellent job, with this all the judges were impressed and he really showed his talent last night. Simon said “I have heard this song 3 times including tonight and I think it was fantastic tonight”

8. David Archuleta – Angels by Robbie William. Good song choice for him. He did a great job. The judges liked it. Simon got a little picky about pitch and arrangement but told him not to worry because his spot next week was secure.

I feel that Syesha is going home on Thursday. I don’t think she is as good as she thinks she is. She can sing, but I think she is in over her head right now.

IdolonFox.com will have a full recap late Wednesday morning.

I miss it every night... I am content.

u can watch it here http://www.surfthechannel.com/show/telev...

(If you go to Daily motion.com type:igrecman)

Michael John Just good sang dream on, aerosmith version (song seemed REAL short though?)

Syesha did Fantasia, the song she sang when she won AI...Syesha's vocal always okay, today better than usual=she had good luck, but not a reason for her to stay whatsoever, she has NO stage quality...she should leave

David A did amazing last night on the piano and very inspirational. He and Michael are my favs for boys..don't remember song but good one

David Cook did Our lady peace we are all innocent...he did all right...not up to his normal standards though..

Kristy Lee also did very good , as good as you can if you are Kristy anyway

Jason sang somewhere over the rainbow and did brilliantly but his style does not have a large enough market to be the winner

Carly screwed up big time, was pitchy, not herself, tried too hard, did not change her style like Simon advised, appeared mad...She IS my fav but I don't even know the song it was...she put herself in danger and it is her fault

Brooke, Consistent and pleasant as usual but CAN"T win...read over!!!http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...

That show suck,don't watch it.

Michael Johns- his performance was okay, i wasn't jumping out of my seat.

Syesha- awesome!!!! but a few pitch problems here and there.

Jason- everyone thought it was gorgeous but i didnt find anything special about it.

David Cook- uhhh his performance was awful.

Carly- it was average.

Brooke- very sweet and pleasant.

Kristy Lee- i thought she sang the song very well.

David Archie- his performance made me cry and i got chills all over. he did the piano with his song and he sang Angels and it was amazing!
