Question: PLEASE people...get a grip on real life, not some reality show! I just don't understand how people get so wrapped up in these reality shows. Granted, I used to be all intot hem too, but do you realize it is the same old sh*t every year, just new faces! We are on what, the 9th Big Brother, Like the 10 or 11 for survivor, 8 9 years for american idol....live your own life people. and seriuosly celebreality has got to go! how many more rocks of love and flavor of love, and thats amore and i ? new york and surreal life, and celebrity fib clubs do we have to watch..I remember when VH1 and MTV were MUSIC television.. this celebreality crap has replaced such good music. I don't know, maybe I am the only one who feels this way. Sorry for the rant, I just can understand it all...

I hate reality shows! I am a guy in my midtwenties and just hate the idea of people being obsessed over these crappy shows. They're a total waist of time and brain cells, I'd rather sniff glue and hit my toes with a hammer while watching Oprah(who I also hate) than watch Idol. Anyone with me? Probably not.
I believe that celebreality shows are a hit because people outside of the show business would want to see the "human side" of the celebrities. By "human side", I mean their real life out of the reel world.
We idolize these celebrities. One way or another we envy them and wonder how they could make their life seem so perfect, if at all it is perfect. When we see how they are outside the confines of the scripts, we tend to see ourselves in some of them. Then before we know it, we're hooked.
I, however, understand how you could feel as jaded as you are now about it. It's because you get so used to seeing similar scenarios over and over again and it's undeniably getting alittle more predictable by the minute. There's no more thrill. Yeah, i understand. ;-)
to each his own. I like several reality shows, American Idol, Survivor, and the Amazing Race.
