whats wrong with that i do that to my folks all the time

Good luck, my niece just turn 6 and she still does that

Like, Wow, I can totaly understand. get her to read a book

my son did the same thing when he was 5 but only with cartoons, but overtime he grew out of it, i didnt reallly have a strategy i would just tell him stop or he couldnt watch cartoons. I dont know how old your daugther hopefully its something shell just grow out of.

perhaps she needs additional role models.
Is she a member of girl scouts or some other activity group? If you're religious, she might benefit from joining a choir or youth volunteer group.
Remember that television doesn't care about your daughter and will never make any sacrifices for her like you will. You may have to do something radical to be certain she is getting a balanced view on the world such as getting rid of some of the channels on the tv and doing whatever you can to get her out of the house with you.

Try turning the TV off....

Eventually she'll find something else hopefully its just a phase you can only really tell her to stop! Or divert her attention!

she will eventually grow out of this stage you may be able to help by finding ways to redirect her attention and her interests
