Question: get elisabeth hasslebeck fired from the view. i am so sick of her that's it's really starting to make me not want to watch the show anymore. she needs to just shut up already a/b this war and a/b how the surge is working and yadda yadda and when she tried to challenge whoopi on comparing dr.king and the reverend write. they had the same messege and spoke up for poor blacks to get equal rights and to uplift the black community. now since miss elisabeth has no first hand knowledge of the situation she needs to be quiet. i'm defending him but it is what it is. when you start comparing jeffrey dahmer and PB sandwhiches and tthe wright it's really time to keep that trap of hers shut. i'm embarrassed to say i'm still praying for her "perfect" world to shatter. so whose with me. does anyone have the address to send a letter. if so let me know.

I don't think ABC cares that a few of us dislike Elisabeth, if they did, I would sign a letter every day of the week. I went to the site that one other person linked, and I did sign that petition.
Personally, I don't believe in boycotts or petitions because more often than not the people who initiate it are the ones who suffer a backlash. She should go down the way Star Jones and even Rosie O'Donnell went in embarrassment and disgrace.
The View is not Meet The Press and our democracy isn't going to crumble (if Bush couldn't destroy it...) if they don't have a conservative on that show.
I'm disappointed that the View did not in some way address her tortured analogy regarding Rev. Wright and Jeffrey Dahmer. Had Whoopi, Joy or Sherri compared Rev. Hagee to Dahmer conservative radio and TV would have had feeding frenzy. They would have been the butt of late night jokes. No major networks or news organizations picked up on what Elisabeth said just a few blogs on the net. The View is either too intimidated by the right to reprimand her or they laugh off what she says.

I stopped watching once Lisa Ling & Meredith Veira left because I felt they were the only credible contributers. It all went down hill with Rosie and now Elizabeth. The show has over-stayed its welcome I think.

Not interested. I don't watch The View, only occasional YouTube clips of liberal celebrities arguing with Liz, or not shaking her hand after their intros. In general, I try not to pay much attention to celebrities, or get worked up over them and their antics. But she has been hired, and she has a right to speak her mind as long as the show keeps her. They probably feel they need a conservative voice (as shallow as hers may be from time to time) to balance out the other hosts and guests on the show. Besides, if this trophy-wife dimwit is the best mouthpiece for the right they can find, it only makes their arguments look weaker.
