exboyfriend and her were living in that apartment prior to her getting amnesia but they were on the verge of breaking up too. He's not moving out cuz he thinks its fine to keep on living there since he thinks Samantha is over him and probably can't a better apartment right now.
I don't care for the show.
I have only seen it a few times now myself.. I gather that they shared the apartment and following her amnesia she thought she would be better living at home with her parents to help regain her memory. Sorry I couldn't help more but I really like the show.
when she got amnesia, she didn't realize that she had an apartment of her own. it was thought that she would be better off living with her parents until she got better. she and her ex-boyfriend did move in together when they were together. but before the amnesia, they were on the verge of breaking up.
