I have not watch in years, but the actor that portrays Victor Newman w/o a doubt. Eric something. He's considerably older than me but he is a very attractive, sexy guy. My sis met him through her job and had the pleasure of having dinner with him and several other stars. She said he is definitely that handsome in person and a very nice, down to earth person also. That makes him even more attractive in my eyes.
I tune in every few months and watch a bit. I like the newer (for me anyway) actress that plays Meg a lot. GL is my show. I also like the many layers to the actress that plays/ played? Mrs. Chancellor (sp?) I had to give them all up but one so I chose GL and I have to tape that!

Phyllis is definitely my favorite character. I think she's really funny and sarcastic, and I think she generally learns from her mistakes unlike a lot of the other characters.
My favorite "actor" I guess would be the woman who portrays Gloria (her name slips my mind right now). She does an excellent job of making everyone hate her, and she doesn't seem to be at all like her character IRL, judging by the interviews I read with her. I think it's totally opposite of how she really is, and she's so convincing, so IMO that's the best kind of acting; pulling it off when it's totally out of character for you.
I would have to say Phyllis aka michelle stafford . I love the fact that she is so involved in many social causes such as breast cancer awareness and the juvinille diabetes foundation .
