Don't you think american telivision has gone too far??!

Question: When i was seven i like all british children was brainwashed by american telivision. One day i was watching 'sabrina the teenage witch'. They were singing 'shake your fanny wanny funky song funky song'.

As a result i started singing this in front of my parents, i was luckey not to get a belting, and i really embarassed my parents.

How can the govenment allow children to to sing about females genitals???

too much swearing, sexism. violence of all sorts and neurosis comes out of just too much american tv.
At that age, we all knew it was foreign, we were quite cynical and could take it or leave it, now it seems to be taken as how thihgs really are.
That is scary.
It also makes americans look bad, just as the UK right wing hysterical schizo medi makes us look pretty nasty.

haha..that's so funny

but i guess its because fanny doesn't mean a females private parts in America.
... i asked a similar question about the word fanny the other day and all the Americans said it meant bum

they also have things called fanny packs.. (i cant remember the English name for it) but its one of those small bags we use to strap around our waist in the late 80s

lmao

The meaning of the word "fanny" is different in the US and the UK. While in the UK it is a term for female genitals, in the US, as I understand it, it is just a funny term (that is perfectly acceptable) for someone's behind. The little belt-bags, for example, are called fanny-packs here...

welcome to the 21st century - i admit things have gone beyond shame. And it is all coming from the media - who are controlling what you think and what you say

You have a point there...Depending where you are from , in the UK they put Jerry Springer on in the daytime & say "May not be suitable for young children" I mean, not all kids are at school!!

Years ago I remember someone telling me her son walked into the kitchen & yelled "Hell I smell like a monkey's a$$!" which the wrestler the Rock said . She wasnt amused!!!

American tv went too far the day it broadcast Friends. I hate that programme so much! It's pathetic, it's not remotely funny and has stupid canned laughter.

LOL

I saw a commercial of the movie "The Bodyguard"
and I said "Ooh, they're 'doing' it".
I WAS LUCKY to not get a a%$-whipping from my dad.
I got a scolding,
I had gotten the term from my cousin.

ee-or, you know what? AMEN TO THAT!
I read Friends has played "Hootie and the Blowfish" music in one of their episodes. That's even a DOUBLE INSULT, huh? ;) :) ;) LMAO
