Yeah and every answer that I've seen is "BUT HE'S SO CUTE!!" It's like good god people there's more to a person besides their looks!!! Yeah he's young and pretty much sucks...I've never liked him...Talent is the key on the show not you're looks!!!
It's true that David A. is starting to fade into the background, but the guy is talented, cute, and deserves to stay until at least the top four. I agree that he needs to start stepping outside of his comfort zone. He has been singing ballads almost every single week. I want to see a different side of him.
David A.'s got a great voice, and when he stays with the type of song that suits his voice, he's unbeatable. We always argue about this at work... one opinion being that someone who shows more versatility (like David Cook) should win. My answer is always... what types of songs do comercially successful singers sing? The ones that best suit their vocal talents, naturally...

Mmm... he is dull but there are a few more that need to go before him. But he definitely won't be winning.
And all of you that are saying he's the best, he is NOT the best. He doesn't understand any of the music he sings. He thought Imagine was a happy song. MORON. He is completely phony. he acts like he doesn't know he's a good singer but he won Star Search and had his own website and a CD that 'mysteriously' disappeared when he got onto Idol. He FORGOT THE WORDS TO A FREAKING BEATLES SONG!!!! That just showed a lack of passion and dedication to the competition. And seriously, he didn't know any Beatles songs. Who the **** in the music business DOESN'T know a Beatles song?! He's retarded. He belongs on the Disney Channel. I would never in a million years listen to a song of his on the radio, that's for sure.
David Cook is clearly the most talented. He picks the right songs. He plays an instrument. And he writes songs on his own. It'll be between him and Micheal Johns.
um he can't help that he has to sing those songs! and he has a great voice and will or will come very close to winning! you'll see!
Like Simon pointed out, if A.I is a personnality contest then, yes David A. should probably win, but we're looking for a singer not the next star for High school musical. So in that case, my choice would be David Cook (that guy as already the originality, the stage presence, and the underdog factor (at least at first) but week after week, he's showing us what is capable of.)
