Wow!!! What an episode. I was really impressed with Catherine Tates performance as well. They have given her character more depth. I think this is going to be a great series. I think Catherine Tate will bring a bit of lightness back.

i think it was a mistake getting catherine tate as the assistant. Martha was the bomb!

I saw in a TV Guide that Rose AND Martha are both coming back this series.
I agree -really enjoyed it-the end with Rose was a bit of a shock

mm next week looks really good. The adipose were quite cute. But Rose, that will be interesting. I was sad to see her go. Hope she comes back for good.

And I used to work in the building which they filmed this episode in. Its called Helmont House and its the British Gas building in central Cardiff.
The Adapose were adorable! I love Donna! And I pretty much had a whogasam when I saw Rose. I'm still grinning like an idiot.! ^_^

I had my alarm set on my phone so I wouldn't miss it.. eheh... it played the TARDIS sound...
i thought it was another great story from Russell t Davies those adipose kids were so cute and Catherine Tate made a great companion for the doctor and i loved the bit with the silent conversation and what was going on in that bit at the end with rose
Great start to season 4, I thought. I never had a doubt that Catehrine Tate and David Tennant would be fantastic together - they were in the Christmas episode, and their chemistry as a non-romantic pairing is fabulous - and just what the series needs after three seasons of mush. the Adipose grew on me during the trailer that was released, and I thought they were effective throughout. Nicely pitched performance by Miss Foster too, straddling the ambiguous ground of whether she was a goodie or a baddie. The story itself was rather thin, leaving room for the toing and froing that got the Doctor and Donna back together. But all in all, a very re-watchable episode, much like Smith and Jones. Great thrill also to see the return of Rose, though she looks rather severe at the moment, so it'll be interesting to see how her role develops across this season.
Fab stuff - Who is back, and firing on all cylinders by the feel of it!
