Oprah & Puppy Mills...?!
Question: Anyone watch Oprah today? How sad was this episode?? I never even knew about puppy mills. I wish there was something I - we dog lovers - could do to stop these puppy mills!
Mama dogs having tumors from having so many litters and all the breast feeding they had to do. Dogs not even knowing out to walk because they've never been out of their cage!
GOD BLESS the man (Bill?) that rescued all those dogs! God bless the people that take in the "ugly dogs", the injured, the blind, the "not perfect" dogs!
This issue makes me upset and sad and I wish there was somethign I can do. I just got married and already have two dogs, and I'm trying to get pregnant. I would take in 10 dogs if I could, but having babies it just scares me to have so many dogs around.

I have been crying most of the show.
Let us hope people see this and go to there local shelters and donate money, carpet squares and there time.
Just going to play with the animas is nice. We have a play area at ours. I drive 30 minutes to ours and love to brush the cats. They told me it makes them happy and it makes them look better for those who might want them. Besides the lady that is there most of the day is doing ten million other things.
I hope many get to see this show.
Human beings can be more cruel than any animal on the earth. It's all about their love for money. It sickens me. I didn't watch it, but know about it.
As in the chinese food buffet puppy proccesing plants/mills oprah owns? Thats why i dont eat at china buffet.
I know how you feel. It was so sad to see those puppys! People should stop buying from puppy mills. It really is cruel that those mama dogs are being used to reproduce like that even though they know fine well it is not safe!
The best thing that you could to do help those dogs. Is to write to your congress. This way the laws for dogs in situations like that can banned people like them for owning dogs. Just to make a prophet off the misery of animal. It is i human for people to treat their animals like that. I have two cats. And - we treat them like treasures. They are apart of my family. And - we love them very much. I don't know why people would wan to abuse animals. The guy and the girl that was going around in the car to the puppy mills. One of the breeders asked him why he would let the dogs into his home. People like them will never understand people like us. That a pet is not just animal to us. Our pets can wined up as our best friends. Plus our pets love us when we need a friend to talk to. Our pets are always there for us through the most difficult time that we go through. If my mom were home tonight and seen what those puppy mills where doing to those dogs. I think she would cry her eyes out. I know i would too.
Broke my heart. My hubby just gave me a baby pug for Valentine's Day. Worried me.
They ought to prosecute people who do that.
I didn't get to watch I just saw the preview, wasn't Oprah suppose to say something on the show about what people could do to help, maybe go to her website and they'll tell us what we can do to help.
I too am an animal lover. Could barely watch this. I don't know how Opra got through it - after recently loosing her own beloved dog Sophie!
I had to give this show a pass. I have heard and seen enough of this kind of thing over the years. I am fully aware of the stuff that happens - I just don't want to watch it and listen to it any more. I love animals and this stuff just upsets me too much. I don't think there is a bad enough punishment for the people to do these things. Where I live the punishment for animal abuse is a joke and as we speak they are trying to get more severe punishment for these people than just a small fine and a slap on the wrist. I hope they succeed.
