Why is David Archuleta so great?!

Lol, sorry but i don't like him at all. If american idol WASN'T based on looks, then David probably wouldn't win. (in my opinion) and it is sooo annoying when ryan seacrest says,
"up next david archuleta!"
and all the girls go soo crazy, i mean come on!
Personally, if he wins. I'll stop watching the show.

It's mostly all the teenaged girls saying "omg he's sooo hot". So if people actually voted based off singing talent, he would have been loooonnng gone.

He has a good voice that can occasionally really belt out a great tune. I dont want him to win, but I think he should go on a few more weeks longer.
Hes not that cute but he is great and i like him. and he is from utah!! GO DAVID A.!! he should be the winner because he has a good voice and he may hit the wrong note sometimes but don't we all?!? HECK YA! There r other great guys 2!
I'm not voting for him. Period. He is cute, even I'm not so old I can't see that. But he's a little *too* modest, and the lip licking thing turns me off to the nth degree. I also find his style a little too crappy Christian musician slash theme park performer.

i'm betting on david archuleta..there's no point in denying that he's got the most versatile, soothing, and professional voice in the show..

He is good but predictable so i don't think he will win you know he has all those teen votes b/c they think he is hot, But i like David C and Michael J,Brook W top three
I think he has much talent, but what makes other people deem him as great is that he sings ballad damn good which is his comfort zone, I mean every week he sings ballad, which is great because he's so used into singing that type of genre. I wish he could adjust and step off his comfort zone so we could see if he really deserves to win. Actually much like what David Cook does he always sings his songs in this rockish type. No offense. Well actually, I like David Cook and David Archuleta 'cause they have this great talent that they're able to share, but that's the problem though.
this is the problem people are comapring the 2 davids for i dunno why. they are completely different style. i personally like both of them even though ultimately im gg for archuleta but i don deny cook's has talent. whats gd about archuleta is that he has awesome vocals which are so rich with emotions everytime he sings. he conveys the message of the song to people. he has the strength to get pass his bad times and come back better. like for the 2nd wk beatles songs which he screwed up, but he make sures he did it great the next week which he did with a long and winding road. then last week, alot of controversy over his song choice hsi performance, so he did it again this week, with an briliant performance '' smoking mountain memories'' i think he is good! and mind this, i did not mention his looks at all because there are other reasons except his looks that makes people like him
