I don't understand why the network types think that just because they caught lightning in a bottle once, means that other shows just like it will succeed. It's all about the talent that you've compiled, and the innovation of your show. People like novelty, and if your TV show is based on another TV show, it's going to fail.
They would do very well if they did a sitcom spinoff of one of the best 80's movies ever made. The Breakfast Club or Ferris Bueller, reunited. They make episodes out of each main characters daily life based on their lives after school. Kind of like where they are now, but fictional based on their frienships and departing after school. I would watch that.
No, you foresee that its not as popular as the The 70s Show and do a Only Fools and Horses type sitcom instead..........
