The Hills premire: Lauren ruins one or two dresses?!
Question: Did it bother anyone else that Lauren, who aspires to being a designer, ruined possibly 2 designer dresses (one burnt with curling iron, the second one worn on a vespa in the rain) without a care in the world?
I wonder if Whitney just switched jobs becuase she is a grown up.

Yep, Just to go out with some guys, she sews up the hem, who does that on a designer dress? Just because she can.
And I had to roll my eyes when she got the second dress, they told her it was special or precious (don't remember the word exactly), and she said, oh I'll take really good care of it, then she got on the vespa in the rain!
Before I get a thumbs down, I do like Lauren but what she did make me think a little bit lower of her

The curling iron accident I can see happening however if it is a borrowed dress I would never have sewn the hemline and I wouldn't have worn the second one on a Vespa in the rain especially. I think it showed a lack of appreciation for the loan of the dress. As for Whitney, well sounds like she needed more of a challenge and a career that was better suited to her goals.
People make mistakes, even celebrities. Just because someone has high expectations doesn't mean there isn't any room for mishaps. She left her curling iron on, but who cares because she has great hair, and the dress was rubbing against it. She checked the gown the night she got back so she was being careful then. And she didn't ruin the second dress in the rain, she held it up under her jacket. And she told Whitney about what happened with Mattias and the vespa after the club and she said she had to hold her dress up and that was all she said about that. If she did ruin the second dress they would touch upon that on the show or she would tell Whitney. Btw, Whitney has her reasons for not wanting to work in that small room behind a computer all day. As you probably remember, she told a man at the ball that she wants to get into styling and she said that was the path she would rather be traveling down. She's making choices like all the rest of us.
But I did think that Lauren could have been alot more appreciative for the second dress considering the circumstances but she was freaking out when she first found the stain, so she DOES have a "care in the world".

It bothered me too! The dresses were given to them but still... it showed no respect. Plus... I thought it was a little sad how she insisted for another dress from the designer... seemed a little diva to me!!!
I think that Whitney turned on the curling iron and didnt think about it because Whitney couldnt firgure out that the curling iron could burn a dress the way that it did.
Also, I dont think that Lauren was thinking right when she sewed up the first dress to take it out to a club and then with the second dress wearing it while riding a vespa! Come on.
