American Idol: Breakdown!?!
Question: I was worried about David Cook because I didn’t know how he was gonna do, but he rocked as usual, and showed a different side of his vocal range –very smart!
Carly Smithson was great as well, and I don’t care what Simon says: she looked waaay better last night!
Michael Johns did surprisingly well, I have to give to him: this is his best performance thus far.
Brooke White- She didn’t suck, but I don’t think it was one of her best performances. The whole thing seemed rushed.
David A. He was good, OMG he picked a ballad! Translation: blah blah boring.
Kristi Lee Cook –She did okay, but I still can’t wait til she gets the boot though
Syesha Mercado did really well, but I have a feeling she’ll make the bottom three tonight. (and what’s up with the hair?)
Jason Castro-Easy going and sweet performance, he’s fading for me
Ramiele: Poor thing! She can't pick the right song to save her life. And its sad because she can sing
My prediction: Ramiele=bye bye

Wow, i agree with everything you said about the contestants! David Cook is my fave and he can make any song rock : ) Ramielle is going bye-bye i think, i liked her in the begining, she has a powerful voice but she is just not letting it out, her song choices are wrong all the time
I'm sorry, but in regards to David A., I don't think the fact he sang "another ballad" should matter considering David Cook "rocks" every song he sings. He sings all rock songs and David A. sings ballads. The idea here is who has the best vocals, not the style of song they sing. I think the final 3 are going to be David A., David C. and Michael Johns. I would like to see David A. win, but if he does not, then I hope it's Michael Johns because David Cook is way too cocky. As for who should leave tonight...I think it should be Kristy because enough is enough with lackluster performances and mediocre singing. I predict bottom 3 being Jason, Kristy and Ramiele with either Kristy or Ramiele leaving.

i agree with the asker...carly looks good week after week..i dont know what got into simon....blah simon....well the contestants did good..maybe it helped being able to talk and get some pointers with dolly parton herself...i just wish kristy will say bye bye...
I agree with all you said. I just wanted to add that I think it is kind of sad what is happening to Jason. He started the competition real strong and the judges praised him for showing the most growth from week to week. I kind of get the feeling that he just lost his desire to win. If he doesn't want to win, may as well let him go to make room for those who are in it to win.
ADD: I do not agree with you kikio. We want an icon to be multi-dimensional...that is the point that everyone is trying to make here. This is not just a singing competition by any stretch. It is about who has the American Idol Image. Yes, I do agree that all Cook does is Rock it, and I don't actually get why others do not get that..Furthermore, his vocals, alone, I do not think match up to Archuleta, AND his style (Rock) is limited simply by definition, whether all his fans would like to admit it or not. Yes he did well yesterday, but that is because Rock is related to Country more than David A's style...but is one of the few styles that Rock does relate to....AND David A's style (starsearch pop?) is actually more relatable to the concept of this show...With his extreme talent, he might just be able to get by and win despite his lack of versatility, but Cook cannot, but even then it is worth noting where David A did fall short in this competition.
KIKIO: you said that only vocals matter then contradicted yourself by saying, Cook is in the top three best, but that you don't want him to win solely because he is "too cocky". ...so really vocals and how cocky you are matters?
I absolutely love Brooke, so I think (hope) she'll win, but I think Jason will be the next to go. For me, he's the kind of contestant who's just there--he doesn't really stand out to me, and I can't really imagine people actually sitting there voting for him. But, I wouldn't be surprised if Ramiele gets the boot tonight either.

I agree with most of what you said, but I don't think David Cook sounded great last night. He was okay, but he has been much better in previous weeks. I thought that the best performances last night belonged to Michael Johns, Carly, and David A. with Michael's easily being the best.
As for the bottom three tonight, I think that it will be Jason Castro, Ramiele, and Syesha with either Syesha or Ramiele going home. I think that Ramiele is the one who should go home, but I wouldn't be surprised if Syesha went home instead (her time is coming).

you wrote really long and i didnt finish reading but im gonna say kristy gotta go! seriously taht girl stayed way too long. and supposedly before this week's performance, i thought because country was her niche so i thought she will do well. but its bad!! first it was catchy country with a very fun best but she didnt move at all!! she sat by the steps like some freaking princess and sing. he facial expression is like frowning or whatever totally feels like shes singing a sad song.
and next whats with the bare foot??!! you're performer! you don wear shoes? cant think of any reasons gd enough for that, and the camera didnt catch a her bare foot. i knew it before ryan said it out.
her dress totally didnt help her. the dress is nice but it just doesnt suits the song! if someone has a dressing problem tonight that will be her and not carly

ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?!??! Jason has lost his will to win?!?!?! Ok, if ANYONE saw him when he was just in the bottom 3 it was CLEAR he was about ready to either vomit or cry....haha. He HATED he was in the bottom 3, b/c I think this is seriously what he enjoys. He may not take it 2 much to heart if he's voted off, but that's b/c I don't think he's gonna change for this industry. If someone doesn't like him, don't buy his cd's. But that's who he is. Period.
And he is NOT going home. He has SUCH A HUGE fanbase.
My 3 faves are him, Brooke, and Michael. They are like a breath of fresh air. They don't sound like everyone else in this industry and/or on the show. Everyone else isn't really BAD, I've just heard it all before...

I liked David A's ballad, and he did surprisingly well. I think who really rocked it was David C. My view of the top 8 are: David C, David A, Brooke, Carly, Michael, Syesha, Jason, and Ramiele/Kristy
Whom I think will be in the bottom 3: It could be anyone, but more likely, Ramiele, Kristy/Syesha, and Jason. Whom I think will go home: It's a toss up between Kristy and Ramiele
I hope Ramiele leaves, but I doubt it. She has a large fan base. It might be Jason, unfortunately, or Kristy & Syesha. KRISTY NEEDS TO GO, NOW. As for David Archuleta, well he is a great singer, don't get me wrong. He has a cute personality along with that. But this competition isn't just about those things, it's about consistency. David Archuleta is anything BUT consistent. 2 weeks (Beatles Week #2 and Birth Year Song Week), he had a very horrible performance. He goes up & down though the weeks, when Michael Johns & David Cook have done nothing but improve. David Archuleta is lucky that he is so cute, & he will make it far because apparently, American tweens can't look past a pretty face. He also FORGOT the words once, & that is one time too many. You can NEVER EVER forget the words to ANY song on this program. If David Archuleta wins (which I'm betting will happen), it just proves that American Idol is a popularity contest, not a talent one. I'm hoping the last 2 will be David Cook & Michael Johns, with David Cook reaching the top. Both have great potential, great voices, great personalities (David isn't arrogant at all; he wears his orange wristband for a girl with cancer named Lindsey Rose), & above all, GREAT consistency. They have improved tremendously.
