American Idol - I love Dolly Parton BUT BUT BUT?!
Question: I don't think her music is for these kids/people....ya know? I mean she's great and all - but these guys need something else....and no more Beatles (love the Beatles too but let's face it....no one can do them better)..........what is you opinion?

Dolly Parton is really too over the hill for anyone, much less these singers. The country theme is great, but there are so many great female contemporary singers like Martina McBride, Sarah Evans, Faith Hill...I don't get it.
I'm listening right now and a couple of the kids are doing it right. I think Dolly's music is relevant and they will do great. I like the new spin a couple of them have put on it. I can't wait to hear what Archuleta does.

they need to sing a song that is older and well dolly has big songs and to win american idol you have to be able to sing huge songs right
I really enjoyed hearing some of the "cross over pop classics" of my youth tweaked to fit today like Carly and Syesha. I didn't recognize David Cook's song, but I thought it was really great too.
