I watched Hell's Kitchen for the first time last night?!

Question: What do you this of this "super-chef" Ramsay? He seems insane.

Answers: What do you this of this "super-chef" Ramsay? He seems insane.

I want to be a chef, when i turn 21 if the show is still on i want to go on....i'm 17 so not much longer!

He is NOT insane! He is very good with what he does and know how it's suppose to be done. Those "contestents" on the show are a JOKE! I started cooking a 4 years old with my mom and at 10 i cooked dinner by myself..I could Kick there butts in the kitchen.

The guy that made the scalloped and white chocolate tar tar...WHAT THE F*** ....no wonder Chef Ramsay threw up.

I look up to Chef Ramsay and plan to run my kitchen like him.
also he is kinda cute...lol

So yeah i think he has earned the right to b*tch them out for screwing up

I love Chef Ramsey! He tells it like it is.

I also love his UK show "Kitchen Nightmares". Not so much the US version... it's too Americanized in its glitzy presentation.

  • Oh, I love him! This is the first time I'm watching the show, too.

I would never, ever treat people the way that he does but I often wish I could react that way to ALL the incompetents that I have to deal with on a daily basis!
    =P

well u may think that but those who goes to that show are who wants to cook for rest of their life otherwise why would they go throguh all that humiliation?
and if u think about it, cooks has make the food perfect and serve it to the customers in time
if the food is not good or they dont come out in time costumers won't be satisfied
and if that happens, that mean bad reputation for the resturant and the resutrant will lose the benefits so that's why ramsay acts like that cuz in real life that's how harsh it will be if they dont get their job done properly

I watched this show last season and when I saw that it was starting again tonight I swore I wouldn't watch it. But, there I go, leaving the channel on and watching these people get yelled at. It is entertaining...but I don't think that is the way to handle people.

The person who said they wanted to be a chef and go on the show...might I suggest going for Top Chef instead? While the judges are honest, they are not abusive when they express their opinions. Well, they don't yell anyway.

Over here in the UK isn't as nutty, but then the British restaurants he goes to aren't run by such over-the-top characters either.
The US version has defiantely been hyped up, especially with the overly dramatic music and voice-overs.
When he's interviewed he is actually a really nice bloke!
Also, if you listen to what he is saying (underneath all the swearing) he really wants their restaurants to be successful.

if he did that to me I'd have to ***** slap him. Ive got no use for shows like that. It all seems so contrived and phony.

Ramsey is like the Simon Cowell of the kitchen...personified! I think he's great...the yelling is all for ratings..he seems extremely nice when the contestants win prizes and he sometimes takes them to dinner, or shopping. He pushes them to do their best....if they can't stand the heat...get out of Hell's Kitchen

i think they get some good people and some bad people on the show, so its entertaining.

I love Chef Ramsey. I was truly disappointed by the level of talent displayed on this season's show.
