Do you think most reality TV shows are real or fake?!
Question: Isn't it sad that I believe most of the reality and dating shows on MTV are fake. Same goes with VH1 and excetra.
It just seems like TV these days is more for humor which I like but it isn't reality.

Depends on the show your talking about. I used to believe that they were all real but then I heard that on the original Joe Millionaire they "forced" him to pick people that were popular to keep on the show. However shows like Survivor and Big Brother I think are 100% real. I mean B. B. can be viewed by people as it unfolds on the net. How could they fake that?

It's obviously fake, I don't mind watching them, because it's entertaining & ridiculus at the same time, but yeah they are fake. That's why they come out with second shows, third shows, ect.
I really don't like the word fake. Fake isn't appropriate. I would say that most reality programs are planned. It's annoying when the dating reality shows are planned; they should be completely spontaneous. The competition ones need boundaries though.
POSER's that pretend to be real situations! Hell, even Dr.Phil isn't a doctor! It's all crap, scripted stuff written by lousey writers that couldn't write a serious drama and great sit-com if God requested it!
They're cheap to produce and bring in HUGE bucks...so they keep making 'em.
A lot of staging and editing...but they're so addicting :(

I beleive that some of them are fake and some of them are real but who really cares? There entertaining and fun to watch!
I think that most of them are rigged or they are set up to keep the most interesting people on the show so the ratings does not drop before the final show. Just a thought, look at all the shows that American can call in and vote, just think about all the money that the telephone company is making off of people........It is all a scheme and a scam to make entertaining television...(jmo)
