Well I am not surprised. Ellen really appeals to a broader audience where Oprah is mostly just woman. And also more topics on Oprah are serious and a lot of people just like to chill out for an hour and smile and laugh instead of watching something that may be too much to handle. But I'm glad I love Ellen!!!!
Unless Doctor Oz is on Oprah, Ellen is just more fun to watch.

Oprah has a legitimate talk show. Ellen has a celebrity-type talk show much like Jay Leno, Letterman etc. Of course she's more popular than Oprah.
A lot of people hate Opie because she holds a mirror up to our faces and we don't like what we see.
