Lana did not die (yet) She was put in a coma or trance by Brainiac. Lionel was trying to reveal to Lana that Lex had killed Dr. Swans daughter not him, but Lois found the envelope instead. Clark has basically washed his hands of Lionel, even though Lionel has a key piece of info that will help him. Nothing spectacular happened (trust me) but it's leading up to some good stuff. Lex was having flash backs of when the veritas group used to get together. He's piece things together bit by bit. All in All u didn't miss much.
go to youtube. search "veritas part 1" quality isn't great, but @least you get to watch.
