Peers boxed the Donald in. Donald doesn;t respect or use business ethics. It is all about being first, richest and the toughest competitor. The Donald is the ultimate competitor. He must finish first.
Peers is a great little manipulator. Americans love their soldiers and also children. But wounded soldiers in a time of war beats out children every time. Peers purposely chose the most patriotic charity going...downed and wounded American soldiers fighting in Iraq (he intentionally chose an American charity over an English one),.and then he brought in wounded soldiers into the live show. The Donald was forced to select that charity. You didn't see a standing ovation from the audience for little kids with food allergies.
Secondly he confronted the Donald with his own philosophy...Trump has never purported to be the most popular guy...He believes business is rough and tough. He takes advantages of opportunities and hits his opponents and his enemies tougher than they hit him...(Merv Griffin and Rosie O'Donnell are cases in point). So Peers calculatedly became a mini Trump throwing back at Trump his own non-nice guy image and tactics. I am sure that Trump secretly admired Peers tactic to get the rich guys drunk to get higher auction bids out of them. Trump showed his contempt for the drinkers when he said that is why HE never drinks.
Trace never had a chance with the Donald...I secretly think Trump thought Trace was a chump for being such a good guy and admired Peers, his own little Mini-Me. Too bad for Trace...but in the end he won with the American public and probably has really boosted his career and his visibility. Peers is still an English jerk.
I was disgusted when Piers won. Especially after he made that sexist remark to Ivanka about how she didnt know about his bed-side manner. I think Donald should have punched him in the mouth for that one. Trace Adkins is the better man over-all and he should have won.
That this was a great buisness decision. Piers was an evil bastard, but he still got the work done and did that better then all the others celebrities there. Yea Trace was good, but Piers destroyed him on the last challenge. Most people want Trace to win, but if you think about it, you don't let someone win just because you like them, you let them win because they got the job done and did a good job at doing that.

piers was BRUTALLY honest..but not unethical. he also was amazingly witty, destroyed Omarosa...and after Gene simmons was the sole reason the show pulled any ratings whatsoever. he was the man, and he's made many fans, and many anti-fans as well...good for him!
trace on the other hand was uber-homophobic and desperately defended his masculinity. i can't respect trace for that. besides, he had no business being there. it should've been Carol v. Piers...but Trump, misogynist that he is (and seeing the entertainment value to be had, true), unjustly chose Trace.
