Trace seems to be a great guy but Peirce did raise a great deal of money, that's what the show was about,raising the most money,

Sure, Piers raised more money...but it was an unfair match because going into this they all knew that Piers had bigger contacts that Trace. But Trace worked the you know what out of the ones he had...and they were none too shabby, they just weren't all billionaires like some of the ones Piers had. Also, Piers wanted to talk about his record of wins, etc...well, Trace was on his team for a lot of those wins and had great ideas and contributions throughout the competition while keeping his integrity intact.
So, yes...I absolutely agree that Trace got robbed. Charity is about more than $ ...it's about attitude and spirit of giving which Trace exemplifies. Trace also did his other portions of the challenge better than Piers which should have carried more weight. Bottom line.... Trump let the dollar signs do the talking as he does in normal business affairs.
One more thing...I loved Trace before all this but I REALLY love him now!

However, he gets to go home to his family, his amazing little girls and his wonderful wife...a successful singing career where people look up to and admire him.
Piers...so what. How many people can't stand him? I know, that probably doesn't matter to him. But...you know what...whatever.
I dont think the right guy won cause Pierce is an A HOLE!!! I never have liked him because of how he treats people. The only reason he won is because so many people like American Idol. Pierce could never be a tenth of the man Trace is,and never will be. If you take in consideration that Pierce has a reputation for being an ***, its the *** part that gives him most of the popularity that he has received, and not for being a good judge of tallent!!!! Yes, he has a great nack for making people angry but, thats about it!!!! Trace is a well manerd person and down to earth that treats most people with kindness and respect but, I guess that nice guys finish last but, he will always be more of a winner than Pierce!!!
No, Trace did not get robbed tonight -- he left with his dignity and the knowledge he did his best and was able to give his charity a significant amount of money. As many others have said tonight, if it were a popularity contest ,Trace would have won, no doubt.
However, it's a tough world out there and an equally tough economy. In my opinion, Piers was, and still is, the ultimate businessman. Granted, he lacks a little tact here and there; but for the most part, I thought he was still courteous and definitely had a soft side. . He was the most dedicated, tireless, and "hungriest" to be the best. I actually admire Piers -- he got the job more than done !
And, I'm so glad Donald picked him -- from a business standpoint, it was the only option. Had Donald picked Trace, I would have been grossly disappointed and probably would never have watched the show again -- I really like and respect Donald -- now I like him even more !!

I have a Bachelors & a Masters in Business & I wouldn't even begin to try to count the number of times that & number of different courses in which the importance of ethics & strong communication skills in business where taught! Those are the two areas where Piers failed miserably!!!
I think Trump, Jr.'s comment about Piers having a bigger Rolodex is debatable...The biggest disadvantage that Trace had was location & time (short notice for travel). Piers had A LOT of contacts in NYC. If they had been in Nashville or Atlanta or Memphis, does Piers have contacts in those cities? I'm sure Trace does! More to the point, would all of Piers's wealthy $100K contributors have traveled to help Piers win. I doubt it & I certainly don't believe Piers would have used his own money to charter two planes to fly people 759 miles, like Trace did! That speaks to Trace's character, desire, & effort.
Also, my heart sank, because I knew he was going to choose Piers thanks to the NBC online auction promo that was on just before the announcement...it said all the proceeds of the auction would be going to the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund.
I think Trace was robbed. He should have won hands down. Yes Piers raised more money then him, but Charity is about more then just money. It is also about the heart and soul you put into it, and really wanting to make a difference in people's lives. I don't think Piers can say he really cared about the Charity, as much as he did winning. I like when Trace said he was not going to do anything that disgraced him or his Charity, Piers can't say the same.
On a lighter note Trace had me cracking up when he was like "Don't get me started on the BSB"
I do. I think Trace definitely deserved to win. Yeah, he didn't raise as much money as Piers, but he did everything with class. Whereas Piers mistreated his own team. They both had the same goal in mind, but Trace went about it the right way. He didn't even really talk badly about Piers, and all Piers could think about was money. Money made him do terrible things to the people he worked with, and also made him go to extreme lengths just to get what he wanted.
But the worst part is, despite the fact that most of the former contestants wanted Trace to win, in the end Donald went with the guy who achieved his goal, no matter how he went about it. It just goes to show everyone that money (at least in Donald's mind) is much more important than how you treat other people, not only in the way you interact with them, but also in the way you conduct yourself in the project you're working on.

They definitely robbed Trace!! It wasn't ONLY about raising money--in the past there have been situations where the Donald picked someone because of their character as well as their success in challenges, & he should have done it that way in this case..
I think most people wanted Trace to win because he is nice guy. But, Piers kicked his a*s in the money raised. Piers raised almost $400,000 in ticket sales and the auction. Trace raised around $100,000!! There really was no competition when you crunched the numbers!
I think the right guy won since Piers did raise more money. Either way it was for a good cause so no, I don't think Trace got robbed.
