Question: I think it's mor looks myself. I can't believe they let Chickezee (SP) go last night and kept that One hit wonder David A ,Kristie Lee Cook and the Asain do nothing but look cute chick. My jaw hit the floor lastnight when he was even in the bottom 3.

Yes! I dont understand why Kristy lee cook is still there. She has been in the bottom three for quite a while and I was surprised that she wasnt last nite. Chickezee sings much better than her and yet she is still there!
I think they are yes. The fact that Kristy Lee Cook is still there is unreal. But in the end talent will win.
Of course it enters into the decision, but I think usually the best talent wins, at the finals.
I think it is based on Looks. Danny Noeriga was a good singer but beacause nobody liked his look he got voted off.

if they were voting on looks jason c. and syesha wouldn't be in the bottom three since both of them are GORGEOUS. i think david a has a good voice but agree with you on the other two. kristie lee cook and the asian need to go. that stupid pouty look rami does just annoys me more.

i think the whole thing is rigged either way, get the homosexuals off first, then the rockers, idols are supposed to look perfectly groomed to them, which is stupid, Jason will probably be the next to go sadly
i think that they are. The voters are looking for the looks, not the talent. There are some pretty good singers that have been voted off in the past for looks instead of talent. that is the problem wth some of these talent shows. They are almost corrupt in a way.

Ummmm.....YEAH! what did u think they were voting for initially, talent??? Don't make me laugh. American Idol sucks, it should be cancled! That show breeds "stars, & commercial entertainers", not talent, not musicians & artists! A real aspiring musician would never go on a talent show, those contestants are chasing fame & fortune, not an artistic outlet. No offense to anyone, but that show is almost as pathetic as the people who watch it.
Im sure, everything is based on looks now a days... Everything is a beauty contest today. That is why a lot of the idols don't do so well after they are off the show.
It is not any different than it has ever been. It is also a personal opinion thing. And it is MAINLY who takes the time and makes the effort to vote. If singing really had anything to do with it explain Taylor Hicks. That was my least favorite season ever in spite of Daughtry and Elliot Yamin, 2 guys who should have been 1-2 and were 3-4.
i disagree totally....chickezee was voted off because he picked the wrong song for him when it was vital to choose the right one...no its not going on looks because david cook has a really good chance of winning it all because hes a great singer....if it was on looks they wouldnt have gotten rid of half the contestants in the past....its all in talent and going that extra mile to do your best
I believe that to a point, but not when it gets closer to the end. It usually has a slight effect on results near the beginning, when there are many contestants and they needed to filter through two every week. This season's example was Alaina leaving one week before Kady Malloy. Kady should have left the first week, and Alaina should have stayed for one more week. Alaina was clearly better. There is an example of this happening every year in AI and it has become obvious. As for Checezie, I do not think looks played a factor at all. Remember this is a popularity contest, and when there are 24 contestants, all people sometimes have to go on are looks. I believe once you get to know a contestant more, it matters much less and people are not so vain. It is natural and we cannot help it. If we don't have enough to judge on on a person, we look to appearances
That's the only reason Jason Castro and Ramiele Malubay are still on. It's their look and style. I like Jason and all, but the kid can only do so much. Ramiele is boring, I can never see her performing in front of 10000 people. Even David Arch. is limited in his style. David Cook is by far the most talented and best performer ... but based on past seasons .. he will get voted off around the top 5 because he is too talented.

I agree I hate David A., and love Kristy Lee, Michael Johns, and Ramiele, and Ramiele isn't an Asian she's an Arab since she was born in Saudi Arabia.
I believe so yes, why eles would some of them still be on the show? I also believe it has to do with what the judges say to them on the nite before, say if Simon likes them then they don't get voted off, I myself feel this is wrong since I really don't care what they look like cause who is going to see them on the radio? And then they are always going to get made over after they win any ways, so who cares....I just want to hear great music.
they are all amazing and have worked hard to get here. I believe that some people might be voting by popularity, but I think that every elimination these next few weeks will be suprising and very dissapointing since they're all freakishly awesome!
and Kristy Lee Cook is not my favorite, but I was not suprised by her being safe last night. she appealed to a humongous crowd by singing that song.
I feel the same way. What is wrong with the fans? How can they not go for talent only? I wish something could be done about this.
