ANTM Cycle 10 - Is anybody else a tad disappointed?!
Question: I had high hopes for this cycle because cycle 9 was so bad. It's better then 9 but not that great. I just feel like Tyra keeps certain girls that truly don't deserve to be there. My only favorite this cycle now is Katarzyna.
I liked Whitney and Claire before they came down so hard on Dominique - now they just seem like childish bullies. Lauren also seems evil and despite her complete awkwardness the judges just love her.
I don't know, the girls just aren't that great. They haven't been great since cycle 8 and prior. What is happening? I think ANTM is losing steam fast. Either that, or I'm just getting sick of it.

i am getting bored with it too. the first few cycles had good looking models, great photo assignments. but the longer it runs, the more boring the photo shoots get, the more unusually the models she picks, and the more childish the ones she picks act. i think its time for Tyra to try something different. the girls in this cycle are better looking than the last cycle, but they get on my nerves quick. they pick and keep certain ones on the show to keep the drama up and its starting to get old.
Yeah, I am. I agree that the last 2 cycles have been dull - the girls just don't have as much personality as previous cycles and I think Tyra's lost the passion for the concept of the show.
Just read an article that said she is fighting with Jay Manual, director of the photoshoots and that she simply whizzes in for the judging and doesn't really want anything more to do with it. That makes me hope that someone better will take over the show and direct it into a new and hopefully improved light.
I think Top Model is pretty much ready to end. I mean, the show lost its pizazz after cycle 8 and hasn't been able to retain it again.
This cycle, some of the girls aren't even spoken to for entire cycles - like this time around Fatima, Stacy Ann and Katarzyna. I would like to hear from every girl each episode but they only seem to focus on the ones causing drama. It's getting old fast. Makes me just want to tune in for the last 10 minutes and see who goes home!!
Yes, but I have been since the very beginning. There have always been girls Tyra has pulled for and sometimes it seems obvious that what she says goes. I realize it's her show and her concept but I think Tyra needs to look for more quality girls and not just focusing on how the show can make money. SImple, basic photoshoots would be best.
I wish they would focus more on the modeling and less on the bickering in the house. I've always wanted that.
I think after this cycle I won't watch this show anymore. For me, it's been a dud for quite some time and for whatever reason I keep having hope that it'll get better so I tune in - only to be disappointed time after time.
Yeah your are right about cycle 9, i was so happy when jaslene won on cycle 8, that was my favourite cycle. And cycle 10 i liked whitney but not after they came down on Dominique, coz i like Dominique too, and i think they are jealous!
Yeah Tyra should focus more on getting quality girls, not just a bunch of drama girls.
I can't stand Lauren! She looks and walks SO DORKIE !!! But she does take beautiful pics. Definitely not Top Model material. Hopefully she learned something from this weeks episode. It airs tonight here in Germany. I just read up on what happened.
The last few cycles, the only reason to watch is for the photo-shoots.
I watch the show from that point on. I like seeing the shoot and then seeing which photo is chosen.
I wish they would put a couple different shots up so we can get more of a sense of their modeling potential

Well they say everything has a shelf life and I think ANTM has maxed out on theirs.
I agree with the gal who said she just watches from the main photoshoot main on - that's what I'm going to start doing. The first half hour is usually too boring and doesn't account for what happens in the last half hour anyway. Regardless of how the girls do at the challenge, the photoshoot either makes or breaks them.
I think there will be two more cycles of the show and then it will be done.
