Does anyone know if on Oprah's Big Give, anyone took care of that man's !
Question: Last week on Oprah's big give there was a contestant who went to the funeral home and promised the family that he would be there at the funeral the next day to pay for expenses. He ended up not going, which I thought was so rude and lacked morality. Does anyone know if the show or maybe Oprah herself made good on that promise for the slacker contestant? I just felt horrible for that family and would feel good to know that someone did right by them.

Yes, on the episode of Oprah, the Maloof brothers reimbursed the family $10,000.00 for the funeral expenses & then passed out $100.00 to each of the audience members with Oprah adding "they could do what ever they wished with the money but it would be wonderful if they passed it on to someone."

I think for someone who was supposed to be so smart, he was an absolute idiot and deserved to be let go. Did he ever stop to think that he could've DONATED the $10,000 to the slain officer's church, who then could've used the money to purchase the coffin, funeral services, etc.? I'm starting to wonder what Oprah was thinking picking this group...And "Oma-Rashelle" is getting on my last damn nerve...
I was appalled at that to. wouldn't it have been great for the show to step up on air and have said you didn't do what you promised but we did and that's why your going home. Since it is Oprahs Big Give and really i have not seen much if any of her money going to this maybe it's time for her to step up and give.a couple of people have said they did but i would have been better to show it that night i'm sorry most of us have to work and can't watch daytime TV .....don't do it on your day time show us the money your giving. we wanted to see that mans family not to have to worry after his family was given a promise of the next day pay sorry

No and I agree he should have Done that first thing before anything else he ran out of time before he could get it done and i also hoped Opera took over and made good if not shes as much a heel as him to ease there pain god bless them

the two brothers who gave the ppl the 100 000 dollars reinbursed the family on the oprah show the next day.
I couldn't understand why he didn't give the family the money when he met with them originally. He had good intentions but he needed to manage the whole situation better.
