Only saw the show twice this season (I work nights), but I like Brooke. I saw her sing Carly Simon - You're so Vain and The Beatles - Let it Be (I think). I was really impressed. I like the Irish girl but we need somebody really like Brooke. I miss hearing songs by Carly Simon, Karen Carpenter and Carole King. (Boy, I'm dating myself!).
I miss the old variety shows, like Carol Burnett, Sonny & Cher...okay, I'll stop now.
EDIT: Sorry, I forgot to answer your question. Yes, tattoos on the face are disgusting. It's like billboard that you have bad judgment.
i agree....she is good.but he is a freak and if she gets famous it means he will get famous too...and i don't want to see his tattooed face on the news!
That's her husband. So what if he's got tattoos all over his face, that doesn't make him a bad person.

You've got ex contestants that have "scandals" that involve not so nice things about themselves personally, and yet it did not seem to directly affect how well they did on Idol, etc, (on several different seasons of the show, not just this on). What does this have to do with Carly's performance and ability? Nothing, period. I would hope people these days wouldn't be so judgmental. You've met this guy? You base someones relationship solely on their appearance? Shame on you! He could be a wonderful person that loves her very much, and is good to her...she should dump him because of tattoos? We apparently don't think alike on this one! I think she's great, and hope she goes far on Idol. I also wish her all the best with her husband!
I completely disagree... her "freak" boyfriend has nothing to do with her never winning it all. David Cook will have something to do with her not winning b/c he freaking rocks and he is going to win... Randy, Paula, & Simon would all agree. And Carley should sing her way back to Ireland where she bombed out on her first album. And she's not going to win it all with that trashy tattoo on her arm either... no matter how pretty her dress or her hair is, that tattoo ruins the WHOLE thing. Sorry... David will win.
