Have you ever been to the American Idol show live?!
Question: I've been wondering what really goes on during American Idol. After all, they do show it Live. Take for example during the commercials. What is everyone doing at the show? Is Ryan cracking jokes? Make-up and fashion helpers making sure the contestants look okay? What are the judges doing? Does the band play some songs to entertain? There are a lot of things going on behind the scenes and I've just been wondering.....

No, never. My cousin has been tho. I went to the teen choice awards awhile back and I can tell you that its probably the same thing. They have what is called 'seat fillers' (I was one of them). The ushers there were constantly moving us around to fill in the empty seat when celebritys (or their family or friends) got up to use the rest room or what not, so that there were no empty seats when the camera's were rolling. There is a lot of commotion going on with so many people there. You can imagine what its like if you've ever been to a concert or in a large auditorium.
