The actor has created a new role. Allister is a drunk actor Jack/Sharon hired to spook Gloria and Jeffrey is in on it.
Again, they know they let killed off a great/loved actor and had to bring him back somehow....like WIlliam/Jeffrey although I think they had that planned out ahead of time and with John....who knows maybe he will be another "long long twin"????

His "ghost" is currently running around.
John is supposed to be dead and that is a guy that Jack and Sharon hired to scare Gloria out of the house. In reality I think it is really going to John in the end and the joke will be on Jack and Sharon.
