Its just U cuz Marcie is dealing with her loss though food, she's pigging out to comfort herself.

Of course she's not happier now. She's grieving for Tommy. She's finding comfort in food which is not healthy. It's a poor choice, but it' s her way of dealing.

I feel for Marcie, always have and always will. I think for Marcie this happiness is a blend of relief, gratefulness for freedom, and making the best of a fresh start with hubby. Think of it this way: We all sometimes mess up our lives and especially when things get out-of-control, but most of us don't get the benefit of a second chance: Most of us are not as fortunate as Marcie. Remember this as well: Marcie, while apparently happy at present, still struggles with forgiving herself for what she did while on-the-run with "Sam" and has expressed this to others on the show, including Vicki, recently.
