Anyone watching Neighbours?!

Question: Why is it like Christmas time? Why is there Christmas trees up, is it like because of Easter or something?

I'm recording it because the kids are watching what they want.
Not sure why it's christmas time over there...I know they are something like 3 months ahead of what we are viewing.
Really dont know.
Just found this...

3. How far ahead are episodes filmed?
Episodes are shot approximately three months ahead of their transmission date in Australia. That means what’s happening on set can be nearly six months ahead of what’s happening on UK screens.

4. How far behind Australia is the UK?
The UK is approximately six to eight weeks behind the Australian transmission schedule. The difference depends on the time of year: Australia go off air for a month at Christmas time, whereas the UK breaks in the summer to make way for coverage of Wimbledon!

havent watched neighbours in 8 yrs, wouldnt even know who anyone was.

Because it's Christmas in the show. BBC always broadcast Neighbours about 3 months after the storyline in Austrlia and Five have just had to keep up the schedule as it was.

No, they moved.

they have christmas diffrent time to us, so its christmas over there on the show.

i havent actually watched it since it moved to channel 5 - big gay asses!! i dont like channel 5, not one bit nope :)

they broadcast the show about 4 months later than actually

Also - they said they were going to turn the lights on when it got dark at about 7.30....

Its the middle of summer there - surely it gets dark later than 7.30?????

Because episodes of neighbours shown in the UK are a few months behind australia/new zealand.

yea, i wondered that too! i was positive they had done there christmassy episodes not that long before reality christmassy time! i hate it when they do that... it unsettles me...

No!Why!It started to get stale and weak on story lines!

no its christmas

As said before, in the UK we're behind Australia. Did you know more of us watch home and away and neighbours in the UK, than in Australia!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also in Australia, Southerm hemisphere, Christmas is in Summer, so they have a BBQ and a summer pool party-perhaps.

No.

arghhhh........ i HATE neighbours!!!!

because it is Christmas in Ramsey street
