What was the most popular sitcom in the 80's,90's and between the 90'!
Question: 80's: family ties,the cosby show and cheers were the masters of their domain,they were very popular and made a huge popular impact,but out of the 3 i'd say its cosby you can check the t.v ratings in the website i'll post below.
90's:its really hard to say but its definately between friends and seinfeld(bevery hills and fresh prince were huge but they didnt hold a candle for the first two)...but probably its seinfeld because it was from the late 1989-1998 so it roamed most of the 90's on the other hand friends began on 1994 to 2004
90's-00's:definately friends it was the highest rated comedy from 1998(after seinfeld) to 2004...and nowadays 2.5 men is rising to the occasion
i noticed some of the guys said seinfeld for 00's...seinfeld ended in 1998 guys and it didnt take a guinness record,that was dallas...and come'on i love lucy was in the 50's

The Cosby show had the 80's, along with Full House, Cheers, etc. Between the 90's & 00? I would say Seinfeld, Friends, etc.
In the 80's, it was probably M*A*S*H and Family Ties. In the 90's, possibly Seinfeld and Beverly Hills 90210? The 2000's....hmm...possibly Grey's Anatomy or The Office?
Neighbours (Aussie sitcom) started in the 80's and its still going.
Not sure of a lot, but "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air", "Beverly Hills 9210", and "I love Lucy" were extremely popular.

the 1990s: Cheers (ended in 1993)
the 00's: Can't find anything on this, but I would say friends in the early half of the 00's and, according to Nielsen data, it is now 2 and a half men!
