But seriously, I dunno, it was just a TV show maybe the writers figured folks would just be wondering about the car, and Daisy's "headlights"
Just because someone lives in the country, doesn't mean that it's a farm. I grew up in a very remote rural area on 17 acres, but it wasn't a farm.
Anyway, the Duke boys, if they farmed anything, it was probably some type of grain. You know, like pure grain alcohol or "corn squeezin'". Those stills don't run themselves.
