Remember a 1980s kid's movie/TV show about a girl in Japan with a robot frie!
Question: Does anyone remember a 1980s kid's movie or TV show about a white girl about 12-14 years old living in Japan with a robot friend named "Too Much"? The girl was either American or English and for some reason she was living in Japan with her family or just her father. Somehow she made friends with a little robot and she named it "Too Much," if I recall correctly. I vaguely remember there being a gang of teenagers as villains and the robot and the girl trying to stop some kind of plot or two running to protect the robot because the robot wandered away from it's owner. I know this sounds totally crazy but this was either a made-for-TV movie or a TV show. I've only seen it once a long, long time ago but I've been trying to track it down ever since. Please help!

The movie is call 'Too Much'. The actual plot is about an inventor who makes the robot, Too Much, for the girl when she moves to Japan. But when they have to move back she finds she cannot bring TM with her so they run away together.
This movie sounds really interesting, I think I'm going to try and find it now.
