Who are your Favorite Character(s) on Y&R?!
Question: I like Evil people the most but there is some good one:
Sheila Carter - She is probaly my Fave of all time. I LOVE her and wish they would bring her back

I agree. Sheila Carter (the original..not the Phyllis new model) was definitely compelling. I loved those scenes with the mirror and that smile...almost evil Mona Lisa like. We were really ripped off when Phyllis came back as Sheila rather than bringing the original back. There was something so diabolical and sociopathic about the way she was played..with that awful quietness that could erupt into anger and madness at a moment's notice. Lauren was never any match for her. She was without equal frankly.
I also used to admire Michael Baldwin. I admired him when he was the shadey lawyer always walking the fine line between right and wrong and always stepping over it. I thought he was the heir apparent to Victor Newman since they both project such a keen intellect, an inate power and incredible manipulative abilities and a great ego and confidence. Ever since Lauren has entered Michael's life he has softened and now with Gloria and Kevin he has been reduced to solving family squabbles. The old Michael wouldn't have tolerated continued disregard and sheer stupidity these 2 get into all the time. Have any of their plans ever worked?
Also you got to love the original Phyllis, the evil schemer and manipulator who could do dirty behind anybody's back without a qualm. Again she seems to have been cleaned up and made somewhat nice. I liked her in the Danny Romalati days when she was hanging on for dear life and screwing everyone including her arch enemy Christine.
Gloria is ok. But she needs a rival...a mortal enemy...another woman preferably...not Jack Abbott or Jeffrey Bardwell. I liked her better when she was poor, clawing for money and social acceptance, and showing her white trashiness. All this money makes it too easy for her since her overwhelming goal from the beginning was success and acceptance.
They really need to get some edge back into the characters (Victoria) and create some really nasty characters and some good rivalries to drive the story lines. Maybe with the huge writing shakeup things will get back on track. We can hope anyway.

As far as Gloria goes, one minute I absolutely can't stand her and the next minute she makes me laugh so hard, I just love her!
She can be just as evil as Shelia, but she knows how to make you want to watch her just to see what she will pull next!
She is also a far better actress than Shelia ever even thought of being!!!!
I love her facial expressions and those great big eyes of hers!!!!!!
I get so angry at her for all the mean things she's done, but am also still laughing at her reaction to seeing "John" in the window!
The show would just be dull and boring without G-L-O-R-I-A!
As for my favorite characters, it seems to change from time to time, depending on what's going on in the story.
But, for right now I would have to say, Nick & Phyllis, Michael & Lauren, Paul, Neil, Devon, Amber & Kay.
