Is anyone else finding No1 Ladies Detective Agency on BBC 1 pretty ****?!

It was a big disappointment . You find alot of adaptions from book to small screen are a flop. Shame as the books are great! The actresses playing the two lady detective did not capture the essences of the two characters at all.
Lost on sky one is much better
No idea what the books are like, but wife is laughing at the bad acting
although it's nice to see lots of beautiful natural black women on tv (nappy power!!!), the program is quite dry :(
I`m watchin it too, but maybe its gona need a bit of time for it to get going.....its got another hour yet...here`s hoping.
Hope not I'm recording it for later, watching He Kills Coppers, and that's a real let down, need something to look forwards to.
Actually, i quite liked it. I think it was a bit tongue in cheek, and not meant to be taken seriously. It says there will be an entire series soon. Perhaps that will have a different feel to it! x
Well I must admit I thought I was enjoying it, but I did fall asleep half way through the programme, so it can't have been that entertaining!
