Who watched Law and Order on 3/19/08?!

Question: it was a good episode, but i was really disturbed by the outcome of the case. it was a/b a young man who had stoned his mother to death b/c she committed adultery. it just so happened that the man was muslim. stoning is a practice that can be found in both christianity and in islaam as punishment for adultery. my question is this country so rooted in fear of islaam or muslims that they would really not convict a christian man who calls himself God's warrior and teach children hate/which is not very christian like either. this could be considered religious extremeism as well and just like det. lupo stated that there was an extemist group except we're not in the middle east. and yet if the boy was muslim and did the same thing and his spirtual leader/guide was an imaam,i'm sure he would've been convicted. so why is this different from the real case that everyone was up in arms a/b overseas a few yrs ago when a woman i believe in africa was stone for his reason. i know it's tv but...

It is NEVER all right to incite anyone to commit murder -- but that was a TV show, and the do take liberties -- to keep us thinking.

I am surprised that he was not tried on conspiracy to commit murder, which is what he did.

But this is a free country. We may not like what other people do and say, but I support their right to say it. If we start dismantling the constitution, then we are ripe for war.

Would the Imam have been convicted? You do not know, you are guessing and making assumptions.

The man that was teaching the child to stone his mother to death for his adultery was not living as a Christian, was studying and learning as a Christian ... he probably had a lot of charisma and decided to live life by his laws.

Yes, yes it is rooted in fear, we call it scaremongering.
