Like everyone else, Charlie's death. I was in denial for a few weeks afterward, thinking that somehow they would bring him back. But his sacrificial death makes me respect his character even more than ever.

What is yours??

Charlie dying

Charlie dying

Hurley hearing that Charlie died.

Charlie's death and the time when they all found out about it, last week when Sun was crying at Jins grave, When Boone Died, When Libby got shot, Shannons death and Sayid's reaction to it, When Jack found out about Kate and Sawyer

Gah! There's too many extremely sad moments on Lost!

Top two saddest moments for me were Charlie's death and the final scene of "Ji Yeon" when the show seemed to imply that Jin died. Both scenes had tears streaming down my eyes. ;_;

Charlie's death was expecially heart wrenching because when it was first announced that he would eventually die, I very close to hated him! He took claire's baby, he kidnapped Sun, shot Ethan Rom (who I never believed to be a villain), he just did not make the best choices on that Island! But over the course of the coming weeks, I started to like his character again. The "Greatest Hits" episode was the best prelude to the end of Charlie's story as it really reminded us of how fundamentally good Charlie really is - taking us through the time when Liam gave him his ring, his childhood memories with his father, the time he saved Nadia from the mugger, the first time Driveshaft was played on the radio, and finally the day he met Claire (I'm verklemped!). We see all that, and the next episode, he's cruelly taken from us!

Then there's Sun's final scenes in "Ji Yeon" which, under the context of everything that happened through out the episode - Jin's flashback accenting the ultimate joy and tragedy of Sun's flash forward, everything reminding us about who Jin was before the crash and finally finding himself again as the simple fisherman's son deeply devoted to his wife, Sun calling out for Jin and even hallucinating his presence while in labor. Eventually I realized that Jin was not going to show up. I couldn't fully understand why until the shot where Hurley held Ji Yeon and said "He looks just like Jin." Sun's face looking at her duaghter so subtly turned from pride for her new daughter to a mourning for her love who for whatever reason couldn't share the joy that she felt for their new daughter. And to throw salt on the freshly opened wound, we depart with the scene of Hurley and Sun at the cemetary, Sun kneeling down with Ji Yeon in front of Jin's headstone delivering one of the saddest monologues I've ever had to read!

I can't choose just one out of those two!

Then there's also the moment that Shannon was shot and killed by Ana-Lucia just as her relationship with Sayid (and her likability) seemed to be on a steep upward slope. The scene in season 2 when Michael shot Libby as she was on her way to the date Hurley planned on the beach. The scene where Walt was taken from Michael on the raft.

Lost's writers really know how to get to its viewers!

When Charlie dies,even though he did not have to. He sacrificed himself for evrybody he truly loves.

charlies death...or when michael gets walt taken from him at the end of a season finale..very sad
