Because conspiracy theorists want people to believe the producers put a seasoned performer (with one album under her belt) on the show to raise the bar and cause controversy. Forget the fact that the girl tried out two seasons ago and made it then too but couldn't compete because of green card issues. Forget the fact that she is a truly talented singer and deserves to be there. She is no different than Brooke White who put out an album or Michael Johns who fronted two popular bands or that long haired blonde boy who got the boot in the semi's who toured with Britney Spears.
She was not "planted" there by production so people need to get over it.

maybe it's because of the way she dresses... i mean her clothes are not well-looking...
neither do i understand.
Some people feel that way because she already had a previous record deal and for that reason alone she should not be there. And that it's a set-up to sell her better as artist..compared to the first time when she flopped. She was also signed to MCA the same time that Randy jackson was Senior Vp of A&R for MCA.
She has that tattoo on her arm and it keeps growing each week, so people think she's really a plant.
