American Idol Screwup?!
Question: Amanda Overmyer was an amazing singer, and yet their keeping Kristy Lee Cook ?!?!? I don't think she deserves to be there. This whole "Vote for the worst" with Howard Stern, needs to stop.
I also heard that American Idol was fake. Remember when Chris Daughtry was there, he wasn't supposed to get voted out, but he did because the producers and everything didn't like him, because apparently he had a bad attitude backstage.
I'm fed up with American Idol and what they pull. What are your thoughts on this?

When Carly was in the bottom 3, I was really shocked. I don't know who's watching this show or who's voting, but she's THE
best singer they've got. Kristy Lee Cook basically sucks. I'm not trying to be mean, but my God, now she gets to tour with the top 10, yuck. Is this actually a singing contest or not?
And, yes I do believe that Amanda wouldn't have won, but to be voted off before KLC? That was a shock to me. At least
Amanda had some personality and could perform. Oh well,
everyone has their own opinions and maybe we're just all hearing something different. I think if Kristy doesn't go next week I'll probably just quit watching the show.

i dont think its rigged by producers but i do think that its unfair that one person can vote more than once.....miss cooks family may be big and have unlimited txting or may be rich and pay for people to vote 120 times in 2 hours
i think it should be called american crap or american controveresy because its nothing but BS. I also think that amanda got screwed because they wanted to keep a blond bimbo who ruined a beatles song last week on the show. As i said on this forum may times today i think amanda will get a record deal because she has that classic rock thing and shes unique.
PS Not watching american idol anymore this season because without amanda the show will suck so minus watch MLB baseball in 2 weeks or the Ultimate Fighter
i liked Amanda but i think she was lousy and probably a lot of ppl didn't vote for her. don't worry, Kristy will be next week
I'm sure they are upset that Kristy didn't go, but I don't think the producers are pulling anything.
The thing about Amanda was her roughness, while many can accept and embrace her personality, some probably found it abrasive. They probably turned away from her and voted for somebody else.
I thought she should have been on longer, but I knew she wouldn't win.
I still love Idol!

Idol is going down the crapper. Its a popularity contest. Singing doesn't have anything to do with it anymore. What the hell was Carly doing in the bottom three??? Karaoke contests at the neighbourhood dive bar are alot more fair than this! Idol can suck it !!
I'll admit I didn't care for Amanda's singing at first, but she gradually grew on me. I wish she had been kept in for another few weeks at least. And even though Simon Cowell's comments are often harsh, he is often closer to a true evaluation of the singers' quality levels than the other two are.
When i vote i vote for the contestant i like the best. I never go to sites like idolhaters and vote4thewsorse. Stern and his fellowers needs to get a life. And let those that are truely fans of the contestants to vote on the contestants.
I think Amanda & Davis Hernandez both got screwed because of DUI & David's previous job...I wasnt a big Amanda fan but I will say she did better then Kristy 4 the past 2 weeks....I dont think Carly should have been in the bottom 3...I hope Brooke or David Cook wins!

Kristy Lee Cook shouldve went home instead of Amanda Overmyer. I was surprised last night when Amanda went home. I thought Kristy wouldve went home for sure last night. Heck Kristy should got voted off last week instead of David Hernandez
I really did like Amanda but I did not think that it was her best performance.
I also think that the only reason that Kristy is still there is because she was in the bottom last time so everyone who kind of likes her was thinking that they needed to vote for her.
I totally agree with you about the vote for the worst thing its so stupid, I've been keeping tabs on who they say and never agree with them.
As for it being fake I don't think so because if it was they would make the person that could sell the most CDs win and looking at last years thing with Melinda being kicked off, I just don't think they'd coose to do that.
