Why do people think david archuleta is annoying?!

to be singing in AI is an unbelievable dream for all of them im sure, but for david who is 17 only i think it seems even more unrealistic for him so of course he's very humble. plus with him getting all the attentions and fans and compliements, who wouldnt be shy?
licking thing, its just his habit or whatever , maybe he does that to calm himself or when he is about to sing a high note. whatever. main point is, everyone has their own habits and way of singing

I love him, and my boyfriend can't stand him for the reasons you stated. I don't know why people can't accept that some people just aren't "fake". And usually the people that are infact "fake" get no negative feedback. It urks me.

A lot of people say they're tired of his "aww... shucks" attitude.
because first of all, how many times can someone be told they are "absolutely amazing" and still get "embarrased" or deny it. It was cute the first 3 times but enough is enough. Just say thanks and be done. And then, he always has a different "sob" story to tell so everyone will keep liking him and vote for him. 3rd of all, he always licks his lips and breathes REALLY loudly into the microphone. 4th, he's not that great of a singer or even really the cute. he looks like he's freaking 12 years old!! 5th, he already has cds out and stuff and he won starsearch so its just not fair to me that he's on american idol when hes been on all of these other shows. I mean, I know that many other contestants had cds out and stuff but he actually won a show already that is almost identical to A.I. so it seems like hes just doing this for publicity.
